What happened to the artwork?

When it became clear police would clear the occupy sites in early December 2014, Hongkongers began to think about how to save and document the movement’s artistic production. A group calling themselves “Umbrella Movement Art Preservation” mobilized volunteers to gather and transport art objects out of the streets and into offsite storage. Another group, the “Umbrella Movement Visual Archives and Research Collective” came together to digitally archive the photographic documentation of the creative expression.
